I think the whole thing about Alendi seeing the future if he releases the power is just referring to the fact that he knows what is supposed to happen and he's seen enough death and destruction to product what will happen. Thoughts?

I agree. I think that is what Alendi was talking about. I doubt that he was truly seeing the future, but instead making a prediction based upon his fears and knowledge of what he has learned.

I went through all of the annotations and added all of the times Brandon mentions the epigraphs to Vintage's compilation. If anyone wants it, please just ask. I'll be happy to email it to you.

I would love to have this emailed to me also, please.
Thank you. :)

Vambram, what you read is not the logbook but only my thoughts after rereading it as a whole. I had a lot of fun compiling it though and I am happy to be of help to anyone.
Thank you. :).. oh, and so far, I do agree with your thoughts and insights you wrote concerning the log entries.

That looks like a LOT of work there, Vintage!
Thank you very much for putting that all together for everyone. I hope you don't mind, but I took what you did, and copied all of it into a Word document on my computer.

So far, AvalonDreamer, all of these ideas look like they are coming along very well. Looks Good. :)

I was under the impression, reading MB1, that the logbook was way bigger than the extracts Brandon left us to read. But, why not. I'll check that too.

Yeah, thats the same impression that I got also about that logbook.  It would be great if Brandon would get around to publishing the rest, or more of, that logbook when he gets the time to do so after completing MOL and his other book projects.

Yes, indeed, Vintage. That theory sounds extremely plausible to me.

Again and again, and again, I have seen the Asha'man channel, and channel very well while they were angry, so the soothing effect would not work as well as you might think. Also, since Aes Sedai and Asha'am do indeed know how to controle their emotions, I doubt very much so that a Mistborn could soothe or riot a channeler's emotions without the channeler knowing that their emotions are being manipulated.
Granted, a mistborn could have the opportunity to sneak up and kill an Aes Sedai or an Asha'man before they knew what hit them. However, by the same token, since a Mistborn or any other non-channeler cannot see saidin or saidar, they would also have no clue at all if a channel using the One Power decided to do a sneak attack upon the Mistborn until it was far too late to react to balefire, a fireball, lightining strikes, etc, etc etc.

I think that theory of yours, Comatose, makes a lot of sense. It combines these Ashfalls with also the spirits of Ruin and Preservation that fits in with this 1,000 year cycle which we have seen.

Yeah, I am thinking that there is something definitely very odd about that black smoke. The mist spirit showed up there also, and was actually able to later cause physical damage to Elend. So, just how significant is that black smoke?

Yeah, Vintage, I am pretty sure that there was a metal map in TLR's cache.

Alright.  Have any of you seen Babylon 5?  Do you think there is some relevance between Ruin and Preservation and the Vorlons and the Shadow?

Yeah, I do see the similarities here, and I agree. So, perhaps in Hero of the Ages, both Ruin and Preservation will have to be defeated in order for this world to return back to normal, without the dark influences of either one of these nearly godlike spirits from the Well of Ascension.

Gotta be a channeler. It would be cool to be a mistborn, but you can only do so much with allomancy. You can do ANYTHING with the one power if you can find the right weave. Besides, it'd be easy for a channeler to kick a mistborn's trash. Just hold him still with air and balefire the heck out of him/her.
