Title: The Scribbled Auguries
Post by: Valkynphyre on July 16, 2010, 05:04:34 PM
I found this phrase in one of the Epigraphs of The Final Empire.

"Nevertheless, I continue my trek, going where the scribbled auguries proclaim that I will meet my destiny--..."

Could this be the prophecies of the Worldbringers?

What is an Augury?

An augury is like a prophecy.  He's saying that he's going where the prophecy says he will find his destiny.

I just looked up the word Erstwhile. It didn't mean what I thought it did.

Master Miyabi is still very much Master Miyabi.

I DID however, mean effervescent. now THERE'S a nice word.

'The Scribbled Auguries' sounds like something that would fit in with Alcatraz, though...
