Title: Skyland

Just a show that I haven't watched in a while that was really really good, plot and characters needed some work, but the world and magic system was impressice, and the visuals were downright amazing!

I love this show. I actually think the characters are pretty well-depicted, though I do think that the episodic nature of the show can sometimes undermine large-arc character growth. I'm just so fascinated by the motion-capture form of animation--it really works for this setting because it's set in a science fiction world. And the worldbuilding is really first-rate--the kind of original SF idea I'm always looking for.

I think your right about the character development, the breaking up into episodes is the problem, if it was made into a movie, or book perhaps it would be first rate!  Also, later on in the series, the episodes start to worsen, and the plot kind of falls apart a bit, and it ends up being you're meeting a new character every episode, the move to Port El' Angel (sp?) and you never see them again, like the Sagun girl who doesn't talk, or Kale the warrior.
