Title: New Website...LIVE!
Post by: EUOL on December 07, 2007, 11:41:21 AM
It's up, replacing the old site.  Retiring the old beta thread and starting this one up for anyone who wants to leave bug reports, comments, or point out typos.

Is the giganto menu thing supposed to be way down at the bottom of the page, below all the left menu stuff?

Heh, oops.  Looks like I deleted EUOL's avatar, I'll throw that back up this afternoon.

On the welcome page, the last part of the biography states:

"and is expecting his first child in November of 2007."

I figure you probably have plenty of stuff to update still, but if this isn't on the list you may want to add it.

That whole "About" deal will get rewritten, I'm thinking.  I included a short bio on the "Welcome" page, so I'm leaning toward a much longer biography in the "About" page.

K thanks.  I've made some changes to the IE6 CSS, have to do it at work since I don't have access to IE6 at home, and I think I've got it fixed.

Nothing seems to have changed, it's still way down below where it's supposed to be.

Odd, I'll look at it again at work first thing.

In other news cover art page for Elantris is up: http://brandonsanderson.com/book/Elantris/page/32/Elantris-Cover-Art

Thanks to 42 for scanning all those covers.

Not sure when we'll do the other books, I guess we can do MB1 since there are 2 covers for it out.

Hmm, I'm using the same as Ben, and it seems every 5th page or so I have to scroll down under the left sidebar to see what's on the page - including the cover art you just linked to on your post.  (Which, incidently, looks really cool seeing them all there on one page.)

Since I'm about as computer savvy as my grandmother I don't know if this is a big deal, or if its just something my computer does but when I go to the site or click on a link in the site just for about a second, half a second or something, the screen goes white except for a few symbols in the upper right hand corner.

I mention it cause it's not very smooth transitioning from one spot to another, and you wanted to know if there was anything we saw.

Oh and I use Firefox. But I don't know if that matters.

that would be because of a slow connection on your side or a slow server response on ours.  The site doesn't use HTML pages (they're PHP) and nothing gets outputted to the browser until all the code has executed.
