Title: Interesting Interview
Post by: JenaRey on February 22, 2007, 03:07:43 AM
Fun interview with someone that is actually living the dream of running both an indie game studio and a more standard studio.

Maybe it's just me but if there are more then 5 people working on a game and you have the budget ninjabee has you're not indy but a small publisher.

Well, we don't "publish" anything, so we can't really claim to be any kind of publisher. However, one of the benefits of having both the NinjaBee and Wahoo labels is switching between "indie" and "small" development studio whenever it's convenient. Steve is well aware of this and has mentioned it on multiple occasions.

Definitions of "indie" will vary, but apparently the GDC thought we qualified, which is great for us. :)

*giggles*  Rampant Coyote, who did the interview, is now wondering who you are Tage.

He also pointed me http://www.rampantgames.com/blog/2006/08/dependent-independent-and-indie.html as far as discussing indie vs other.  Some good thoughts.

Tell Jay he should know to look at site "Bio" pages to figure out who people are. Not that he'd know I was an admin here, I guess. How do you know Jay?
