Title: Washington Post Spotlites local artists
Post by: Mad Dr Jeffe on May 13, 2004, 12:51:53 AM
So interestingly enough I discoved this through Itunes (one of the new Imixes has Northern Virginia up and coming bands) I decided to look at a few of the bands websites. While searching I discovered that the Washington Post has a whole slew of free MP3s from local bands and crews. For those of you not in the know NOVA and the DC area has a very active modern rock and punk scene, as well as a vibrent folk community and our own brand of music that predates Hip Hop know as Go Go.
So now my music library is 50 songs fatter
:)

I just discovered that last week because a guy on another board posted a link to the WP for his own band. Very nice that they do that.

It really is, and I think that I'd actually pay to see 3 or 4 of those bands live....
