So Stacer will be out here, staying with me, for LTUE...I believe it's the 15th-18th that she'll be in town. How does everyone feel about a get together on Friday night?
JadeKnight--will Ari be in town? Does that work for you guys?
We can't do Saturday night cause Stacer will be flying home. What does everyone think?

I'm sure Tage's house will be volunteered for a get together soon.

We should definitely do something, especially since we haven't yet had our Jade Knight party for New Years.

As for Friday night, I believe I have convinced Mr. M and his wife to attend--whatever we decide to do. They seem really excited about it.

Is everyone invited to this, or is it something exclusive? (I mean the get-together, not LTUE.) Incidentally, why isn't it LTUAE? Or LUE? Or even LTU&E? Seems like "and" is being discriminated against. ;)

If it's annouced on the forums then anyone is invited, that is the rule.

As much as I love getting together and playing games, we've done that a lot. So I suggest... something else.

Um, I'm not sure what else there is to do. I think movies are lame because the point of getting together is to talk and you can't talk during a movie, really. At least not according to some people. And other things cost money. Of which I have none.

Here's the deal.
Ari gets in on the 16th (and is here for about 10 days). We're going to be unavailable the 16th, though. Friday (the 17th) is probably good for now; give me a head's up.
When is LTUE taking place? Where can I go for more info? Does any of it require pre-registration?
Anything else I should know?

No preregistration required--it's a totally free BYU symposium Thursday through Saturday.
Looks like Friday night it is, though we still don't know what we're doing or where. We could potentially meet at my place--no one will mind and I have quite a bit of space--but unfortunately I have a shortage of places to sit, which would cause problems.

The '&' is definitely being discriminated against. Nothing personal though...it's policy. The word 'and' is clearly superior, but its long length makes it feel superior to acronyms and it chooses to be excluded.
All these dates are February dates, right?

If we do end up playing some games again I might be able to snag Arkham Horror from my brothers. It's a new-to-me probably new-in-general game based on Call of Chtulu and the like, and the one time I played it, it was entertaining.

Arkham Horror is awesome. It's also a cooperative game which allows for more chatting.

No, for Friday night. I'll have to head back to Seattle right after my last panel on Saturday--flight something like 8pm or something. Speaking of which, OldOne has kindly said she could pick me up from the airport on Wed. Is there anyone who would be willing to take me back Saturday?

EUOL, Fell, are you guys changing your writing group? Are you coming Tage? (IE, are we going to have it at your place or are we all going to sit on my floor, since that's the only place that's been volunteered so far.)

I can volunteer mine and Spriggy's place as another option. I figure it can seat around 9-12 people. More than that and it will start to get a little cozy.

Okay, here's the deal:
My sister just told me she's coming up to Utah THIS weekend with her boyfriend. She's mandated that we (the family) go to dinner with them this Friday. I suspect they're announcing their engagement. Ari and I should hopefully be free the rest of the night, and if so, we'll try to make it over to the party chez Tage.
Should we bring anything? When's the party starting? Anything else I need to know?

We could also use the HumPub, if people keep it clean. Not quite a cozy as someone's home, but it has lots of chairs and a big table to sit around.
As for games, I have two incarnations of Munchkin I can bring (normal--including the expansions--and Munchkin Bites), plus various board games (not quite as fun) or Magic.
And no matter what anyone brings, I imagine that at some point it will degenerate into swapping roleplaying stories. :)

Sounds like we're doing something less time consuming, so Fell's going to bring rolls (he always gets 20s) and I'll bring some lunch meat and my usual drinks.

Yeah, I think that was the largest turnout we've ever seen for a nerdfest. It was a lot of fun.

Yeah, I had a good time, too. I need to find that fairy tale game. What's it called? Once upon a time? Thing is, I have a lot of great games that I have no one to play them with. Thus, my evil plan to get all my friends to move to Seattle needs to come to fruition.
