Wizards of the Coast will publish a new edition of the Star Wars Role-Playing Game that includes content from all six films while presenting a thorough revision of the rules, making the game easier to learn, in Q2 2007....In addition to being the first Star Wars RPG product to include Episode III content, this new version of the Star Wars RPG is much more "miniatures friendly" than previous editions and includes a battle map and guidelines for using Star Wars miniatures in game play.

"this new version of the Star Wars RPG is much more "miniatures friendly" than previous editions"
translation: we're going to make it more likely you feel like you need to buy minis to play
Bah. I wish I wasn't so negative about it, but I'm not excited about another d20 Star Wars. At all.
-
Having seen WotC make previous versions of Star Wars rpgs, I'm skeptical.
-
I'm very happy that someone is actually doing something with the license, but the first d20 star wars was just lame. We don't need a retread, and we certainly don't need a minis-game tie-in masquerading as an RPG.

I don't have much experience with RPGs, but I'm enjoying my campaign. /shrug

Star Wars and D20 just don't mix. Soooooo lame.
Luke: 18, I hit Vader for 1d10, plus 4 plus another 3 for my strength. (Rolls) 7, he takes 14 damage.
DM: You hit him with his lightsaber and he looks hurt, but still fighting. He swings at you, hits and does 32 damage.
Luke: Ow! Ok, I still have 55 hit points left. I use power attack!

Hey I talked my DM into letting me play a jedi...but I only got to play him twice, before the DM killed the game... But I have the latest books and the systems doesn't seem to powerful to me. The problem I am seeing is most DM's don't have much of an imagination in creation opponents.
