Creepy Freaks was designed, top to bottom, as a kids game. This is specifically because their other games are far more popular with teens and adults than they are with kids, and they wanted to tap the market. This is ironic, since Weisman originally developed the combat dial to make tabletop games accessible to children--I guess simple rule systems are appealing to a wider range than originally intended.

Many game companies would do well to learn that. Despite a lot of talk about "realism," most of us want simple. (Yet we cling to our unweildy systems. *shrug*)
