I don't see your article for the hero games expansion. Did you send that in? ( I only asked because I thought you had told me you wrote it already)

YEs I did, Fell said he got it with the time line one...
Which begs the question, Fell where are they, If you need me to resubmit them then I will, but we are kind of on a deadline with the Hero Games folks and if we ever expect to get more stuff from them then we need to post it soon.

We don't have them anywhere on site Jeffe, so if you submitted them via the submit an article you might want to wait till Tage gets a look at our DB, it started freaking today or yesterday. If you e-mailed them then keep on bugging Fell. I'm seeing him tonight so I will mention to him to get in touch with you.

Ok its out of my system... Thanks spriggan, I will keep bothering him. I submitted the articles a different way to be able to add pictures and Fell told me that he was trying to decide what to do about them.

Ya I talked to him and he said there was a problem with the html and stuff so if you could re-email as text only or try and submit them useing the submit an article page as text. Not sure what the Data Base problem is but it;s not affecting submissions. It just seams to be creating ghost articles. So that might be the best way, then fell dosen't have an excuse ;)

Okay, Jeffe, let me set the record straight. In the same thread you quoted earlier I said that I would post the articles as they were--Spriggan's claim that I needed them in text format was incorrect (as a general rule, never assume that he speaks for me). However, just because I have them doesn't mean I knew it was urgent to post them immediately. We've got a very large backlog of articles that allows me to post one or two a day and still have plenty left over, so I'm not in a rush to post everything we have as soon as we have it. I've asked before in other parts of the board for people to tell me when their articles are time-sensitive so that I can post them quicker--if you needed these articles up sooner you should have told me instead of ranting about it on the message board several weeks after the fact.
Sorry if that sounded rude--it was not my intention. I was under the impression that our current posting strategy was well-known to our major writers, and apologize if you weren't aware of the situation. I will post your articles on Monday.

I don't think anyone here thinks I speek for you Fell. I just replied because I told Jeffe I would talk to you about it, and you don't allwayse come to the boards on weekends. True you didn't say you needed them in text format, but you did say there was a problem with the way he did the HTML, so I asked Jeffe to send the text versions thinking that might speed getting the articles posted. I never said that you told me to tell Jeffe to do so.

No Fell Im sorry if I gave the impression that I was mad at you or that I was ranting. I did not know we needed to tell you if articles were time critical now I do. Thank you for clearing it up I will put a time date stamp on the article from now on.
The reason I sounded annoyed was I was under the impression that there was a problem with the article (Reinforced by Spriggan) and that I was just not being told what the problem was or how you wanted me to fix it. It was frustrating.
But it is also not a problem now.
I was also under the impression that Spriggan was speaking for you. From now on I will address problems like this in E-mail with you. I apologize for any rudenss on my part.

Spriggan, I'm not ridiculing you, I'm just saying that your comments caused some confusion. Yes there were some problems with the HTML (I don't really like the layout) but I've already told that to Jeffe before and told him that I would post the articles anyway. I appreciate your efforts to be helpful, and you do help a ton, but in this case it caused a problem.

I over reacted with that post. You didn't call me a liar, but Fell practacly did. And weither it's being impled or directly said, nothing makes me more mad then being called a liar. Even though I know Fell didn't mean it.

Lets just chalk it up to the inadequacies of Electronic communication and forgive everyone. I dont think Fell was calling you a liar either, I dont think you were trying to mislead anyone, I think that the imperfectness of the medium made it seem like you were expressing Fells opinion when you werent.

As it turns out, the files as sent didn't work very well, so I had to reformat them (and did a fairly boring job of it). I like the pictures, though. What do you guys think?

Fell I reformated it useing tables and shrinking some text, it looks a lot better. Want me to submit it?

ok look in the articles waiting section for the Spriggan edit of Jeffe's article. I had to delete the book info he had becase it was throwing things off, I'm going to try and see if I can get it to work.

A note on both of Jeffe's reviews today.
Timeline: some of the rules were vague. We had to make something up to fill the gap.
With the Champions thing, that final battle sounds exactly like the final battle in the sample adventure in the WEG d6 DCU game.

bah, fell I cannot get the text anysmaller then what's under the picture in the other version (still in the articles waiting), I'm supposed to go to much smaller but it's not working. It might me my browser. But I've got 1 more thing to try, but I doubt it'll look as good.

just looking at what's there, and this was probably obvious, but have you tried relative size? ie, Instead of <font size="1"> use <font size="-3">? I don't want to mess with it if you're editing, but it just came to mind and I thought I'd throw it out there.

I don't know why that dosen't work SE, but I just adjusted the table width. I think that looks better.

ok I moved the picture to the left size and I beleave I got it about as perfect as I can.

Okay, looks pretty good. I'd rather have the picture on the left than on the right, and I don't like the extra space before the third paragaph. Can you do that?

Well the reason I move it to the right is because it looks bad to have two things that are left justified next to each other, and I didn't want to right justfy the actual article text. If you want it that way, no problem. And the space was just a mistake, it'll take a sec to fix.

It's in the articles waiting to be approved area. So I can't give you the link. But there's text along the side of the picture. That's what me and Fell have been discussing, where to place the picture.

Okay, Sprig's table version has replaced the old one. I quite like it, though I think we could refine the look and process for future articles.

I think the two main thigs to be improved would be to have the top of the paragraph and picture level and to get the left hand margin of the text as close to the picture as possible.

Those can be accomplished using valign and specifying pixel sizes for the table cells. i'll look at it if I have time later today.

I have a kid superhero one. an elf that I shaved the ears off to represent my fighter/thief, a "roman" elf (his ears didn't show) spear carrier, a broken minotaur, a Star Wars line rogue. and a paladin. I also have some kind of hunched small person zombie assassin thing. And what I believe is a druid bearing a sling. Also, a Hulk clix. Oh, and a Knight on a completely different scale. Why for?
